Project Jal Shakti

This was a water harvesting project in an area that faces serious post-monsoon water shortage.  A natural spring/water hole source had a new well located on it, and the water availability in the area was also enhanced by constructing subsurface/field bunds. A new well was put in place at another location.  The bunds had a positive impact on water availability over 3 acres of land that had also enhanced water availability to both existing and new wells. A substantially enhanced yearly water quantity of 28,42,000 liters of water is presently available from the well, and a  higher yearly water quantity of 17,07,504 liters has also been ensured with the other well
